he Bergen County Sheriff's Office along with the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office will sponsor the N.J. Police Community Affairs Officers Association's Law Enforcement Career Development Course this Fall. This course, which is free of charge is open to college students that are interested in careers in law enforcement. The course will be held on Monday evenings from 6-9 pm in the Conference Center at 2 Bergen County Plaza in Hackensack. This 10 week course will encompass aspects of the hiring process and will give students the tools that they need to achieve careers in public safety. The course is the only one of its kind in the tri state area, and partners law enforcement with more than 23 colleges and universities and is focused on creating a professional and diverse workforce for law enforcement. This successful course has graduated more than 700 students many of whom have gained careers in law enforcement. Attached are the application as well as an informational syllabus.
