HACKENSACK - Today Bergen County Sheriff Leo McGuire proudly announced the promotion of 4 officers as well as the transfer of 6 individuals from other agencies to the Bergen County Sheriff's Office. The promotions and transfers were recognized during a ceremony held today in the amphitheater of the Bergen County Jail and attended by the County Executive, Dennis McNerney, friends and family members. 

"I'm pleased to have the opportunity to recognize these officers for their outstanding service and I am eager to see what they are capable of as they ascend to the next level of their careers. These promotions to essential positions will further this agency's ability to ability to efficiently deliver on it's mission as all of county government strives to do more with less," McGuire said. "I would also like to welcome our 6 newly minted officers to the BCSO family. Their arrival will help to further reduce reliance on costly overtime and their experience eliminates the cost of training new recruits." 

Sheriff's Officer Colin Maher of Mahwah was promoted to Sergeant, Sheriff's Officer Lewis Morrell of Garfield was promoted to Sergeant, Corrections Sergeant Robert Drumm of Fairfield was promoted to Lieutenant and Corrections Officer Dennis Reardon of Ringwood was promoted to Sergeant. 

Additionally Joey Grimaldi of Wood-Ridge, Steven Hajen of Maywood, David Kubis of Wayne, Richard Maietta, Jr. of Hackensack, William Salvatori III of Little Ferry and Ryan Wahl of Bergenfield all began new careers with the Bergen County Sheriff's Office.
